Welcome to Greenwood’s Grille & Ale House located in downtown Bethel’s historic Opera House. We are thrilled that since we opened our doors in May 2010, we have become a destination point for many Bethel & Danburyarea residents. We are proud to offer 16 craft beers on tap along with a great selection of bottles!
  • Greenwoods Grille & Ale House is the place to go for great food, craft beers and ales, in a warm, friendly atmosphere that abounds in this renovated Bethel, Ct. landmark.

    • I discovered this place last week while looking for a place to have a drink with a friend. We returned last night for a Dogfish Head beer tasting ( a flight of 6 beers) and a casual but delicious meal. I had the chicken pot pie special, and it was special. Beautifully made and very good. Both the chef and his wife (the owners) stopped by our table to see if we were enjoying ourselves. I live about 45 minutes from Bethel, but plan to go back. There are many more menu offerings I want to try.

    • This is the kind of place that you want in your neighborhood. A local pub with amazing pub food, plus if you want something more than upscale pub-grub, it is there as well. Matt Stein worked in some of the better kitchens in New York and brings to Bethel the passion and skill of his experience without the pretense. The food is upscale yet honest. The burgers and crab cakes are as good as it gets. Beer rules here – no Bud on tap. Cheers!
