Matt and Susan Stein will always remember opening the doors to Greenwoods Grille for the first time on May 23, 2010, they were fulfilling a dream. Matt and Susan had always envisioned one day owning a restaurant that offered delicious food in an atmosphere 072that’s completely welcoming.

Greenwood’s kitchen is directed by Matthew Stein who brings years of experience from some of New York and Fairfield County’s finest and best known restaurants including The Four Seasons, La Casravelle, and The Helmsley Palace.

Matt’s resume includes:
  • He was the Executive Chef/General Manager – Broadway Diner. Opened and managed both 55th Street and Broadway, and 52nd Street and Lexington Avenue locations.
  • Executive Chef/General Manager- City Cafe
  • Executive Chef/General Manager – 2nd Avenue Brasserie
  • Executive Chef/General Manager – Silvermine Taverns

Some of Matt’s signature dishes include crab cakes, skinny rings, fresh fish and a skirt steak that will melt in your mouth. Matt offers a daily menu designed to satisfy every palette. Chef Matt works magic with seafood and his salmon Cobb salad has become a fast favorite. Try the Greenwood Burger, our Stuffie, or if you’re feeling adventurous, try the Spice Burger. Enjoy pure decadence with the Chef’s Lobster Macaroni & Cheese, or the pure comfort of his roasted organic chicken and mashed potatoes. And make sure to leave room for the homemade buttermilk biscuit smothered with fresh macerated strawberries and real whipped cream.
